Massimadi Foundation Named Finalist for the Grand Prix of the Conseil des arts de Montréal 2
The Massimadi Foundation has been honored as a finalist for the 38th edition of the prestigious Grand Prix of the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM). This year, Montreal witnessed an unprecedented artistic bloom, marked by creative initiatives that redefined our daily lives and enriched our collective narratives. At the heart of this dynamic scene, eight finalists, including the Massimadi Foundation, embody the diversity, resilience, and quest for meaning that drive Montreal’s artistic community.
Since its inception in 1985, the CAM’s Grand Prix has celebrated organizations that have made exceptional contributions to the cultural scene in Montreal. This esteemed award includes a $30,000 grant and a unique artwork created for the winning organization by a Montreal artist in the following year. In addition to the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, with a $10,000 grant, is offered by the Caisse Desjardins de la Culture. The public’s voice is also highlighted through the Télé-Québec People’s Choice Award, which includes a $10,000 grant. Each finalist receives a $5,000 grant, supported by the generosity of patrons.
The Massimadi Foundation’s journey, which celebrates and supports LGBTQ+ Afro-descendant communities through art and culture, showcases the powerful impact of diversity and solidarity in our society. We invite you to vote for your favorite initiative among the finalists and help support the creators shaping the future of Montreal’s artistic landscape. By participating, you have the chance to win $500, redeemable among the cultural offerings of the 725 artistic organizations supported by the Conseil.
Your vote is an opportunity to recognize the essential work of the Massimadi Foundation and celebrate the stories and experiences that bring us closer together.
