On October 25, join us at the Goethe-Institut Montréal for an evening of thought-provoking cinema, presented by the Goethe-Institut, highlighting contemporary struggles and marginalized voices.
We’ll start with The Archives: Queer Nigerian (2023) by Simisolaoluwa Akande. This poignant documentary follows queer Nigerians living in the UK as they strive to preserve and document a history that has been erased and often forgotten.
Next, in its Quebec premiere, Clashing Differences (2023) by Merle Grimme delves into the tensions and misunderstandings during an awkward attempt at inclusion within a feminist conference, raising crucial questions about diversity and intersectionality.
